The following terms and conditions apply for participation in the ALSO International Services GmbH (“ALSO” or “we”) Spotlight Event:
1. WHAT DOES THIS AGREEMENT GOVERN?
1.1 These terms and conditions apply exclusively to your participation in the Spotlight Event. The event includes various presentation formats from ALSO and representatives of the main sponsors such as presentations, live panels, webinars and expert discussions (in general: “lectures”), all of which focus on how sales partners can offer new cloud products and services to their customers.
1.2 These terms and conditions govern the relationship between ALSO as the organiser of the Spotlight Event and the participant (“You”).
1.3 Participation in the Spotlight Event is free of charge for you.
2. HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
2.1 To participate, you must first complete the registration process. After successfully completing the registration process, you will receive an access link from us by e-mail, which will enable you to participate in the Spotlight Event. This access link is only valid for your personal visit. The link must not be forwarded or used by multiple participants.
2.2 If you want to take a break in your participation, you can close the website or Microsoft Teams at any time and reopen it later. Your access data will be recognised again automatically.
2.3 Furthermore, participation in the Spotlight Event requires the conclusion of this user contract. To conclude the contract you simply need to click on the checkbox in the registration process.
2.4 ALSO is entitled to block your access link if there is reason to believe that more than one person is using this personal link.
3. HOW CAN YOU FOLLOW LECTURES?
We use the Microsoft Teams tool to hold conference calls, online meetings, video conferences and/or webinars (hereinafter referred to as “online meetings”). Microsoft Teams is a service of the Microsoft Corporation. You can download Microsoft Teams as an app and use it to participate. If you do not want to or cannot use the Microsoft Teams app, you can use Microsoft Teams from your browser. The service is then also provided via the Microsoft Teams website.
4. WHEN DOES ALSO ASSUME LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE?
4.1 ALSO is liable for intentional acts and gross negligence. Furthermore, ALSO is liable for the negligent breach of obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place, whose breach jeopardises the achievement of the purpose of the contract and on whose fulfilment the partner may regularly rely. In the latter case, however, ALSO is only liable for foreseeable damage that is typical of the contract. ALSO is not liable for any slightly negligent breach of obligations other than those mentioned in the preceding sentences.
4.2 The above exclusions of liability do not apply in the event of injury to life, body or health. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
4.3 To the extent permitted by applicable law, ALSO accepts no liability for content provided by third parties at the trade fair (e.g., by exhibitors or other participants) or for hyperlinks to third party websites or social networks.
5. WHAT OTHER CONDITIONS APPLY?
5.1 ALSO may use third parties for the provision and running of the Spotlight Event.
5.2 ALSO is free to update, adapt or amend these conditions at any time.
5.3 These conditions and their interpretation are subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Soest, Germany.
