Nobody would leave their data centre wide open for anyone to enter, but that’s exactly how many organisations treat their edge computing sites. Often, they consist of a rack or two of gear in a non-dedicated location, perhaps a janitor’s closet, with little to no physical security.

Steven is Product Manager for NetBotz Security and Environmental Monitoring, an integrated suite of sensors, cameras, access control, and intelligent management software that protects IT environments of all sizes, from small edge networks to large data centers. He joined Schneider Electric in 2013 as a Systems Design Engineer, where he developed data center reference designs that explored next-generation data center technologies. Steven received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Business from Cornell University.
