ALSO is the largest distributor of printing supplies in Europe. With Michael Müller, former Head of Supplies Sales EMEA at HP, an internationally experienced manager and proven expert in the printing sector is coming on board, who will consistently drive forward the company’s customer orientation.
The combination of highly efficient automation and logistics, which are seamlessly linked to customers’ business processes, will enable ALSO International to act quickly, cost-effectively and flexibly. With Managing Director Marc Nijhof the company evolved to its current size, based on this recipe for success. As previously announced, he will take over the management of ALSO Nederland B.V.
For ALSO International the further expansion of market share remains one of the primary goals. This involves strengthening its regional presence as well as the further development of processes tailored to the needs of specific customer groups, such as retailers and etailers. Another important component is the development of new product categories and the attraction of additional vendors in order to keep the product portfolio attractive for customers.
The support of SMB partners in their sales activities will be a second focus of Müller’s work. The partners have access to a large amount of product-related data of their customers, which they could exploit much more to further expand their business. The aim of ALSO International’s work is to leverage this knowledge and use it to develop ideas, marketing activities, and product bundles.
Flexible, subscription-based models for the managed print service (MPS) are to be developed on this basis. The development towards a MPS provider and consultant in document management is an opportunity for resellers to increase customer loyalty and thus develop longer-term, predictable business relationships.
Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO Holding AG (SIX: ALSN): “We are very pleased that we could convince Michael Müller to join us. He is very familiar with the market and the customers. With his expertise, he will contribute to taking the already very successful development of ALSO International to a new level.”
