Diversity stands for variety.
In the corporate context, it is about dealing with diversity within the company and promoting it. This means that value is placed on diversity with regard to ethnic, political, cultural, sexual, social, mental and physical aspects, among others.
Diversity, especially in the Western world, is unfortunately often reduced to gender equality. At ALSO, diversity explicitly refers to a variety of factors, of which gender is one. Different educational backgrounds, experiences, ethnic, cultural and sociological roots, sexual orientation, age groups and personalities are other factors that are just as relevant in our view.
We see it as our responsibility as a whole company, including the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, to ensure that these different perspectives are heard in every decision.
