ALSO has acquired as of May 26th, 2008, the remaining 49,9% stake in GNT Holding for CHF 75.5 million. With this step ALSO secures itself the unrestricted freedom of action for GNT.

Since 1 September 2006 ALSO has held a 50,1% stake in the Finnish GNT Group, the leading distributor for information technology and consumer electronics (ICE) in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe, with the option to purchase the remaining 49,9% of the shares by 2008 or 2010. On May 26th, 2008, ALSO has purchased the remaining 49,9% shares in GNT for a purchase price of CHF 75.5 million. With this step ALSO secures itself the unrestricted freedom of action for GNT, an essential condition to swiftly implement strategic measures.
